Updates 5/14/2026

This is a summary of the changes made over the last couple of months. The bulk of this release is focused on bug fixes, smaller customer requests, and polishing features rolled out in the previous update. The biggest new additions are the MOTOR labor guide integration, a customizable navigation bar, Assemblies (parts with child parts and labor steps), and a number of improvements to the Profitability Guide, the Employee Service Report, and the new Itemized Authorization system. We also continued cleaning up the UI styling pass and addressed a lot of the rough edges customers found while using the 3.2.3 release.

Notable Features
- Assemblies
- Assembly is now an option for tasks in the pricing type.
- Assemblies will not show up on the work order ever, they are internal work and when hey are on a job will have the red Eye on them to indicate as such.
- Any part that is manufactured in house, can have the assembly process attached to it, so if you have low or no stock of the manufactured part, it will automatically que the person to add the assembly to the job to manufacture the part.
- The assembly is the task, and you can attach parts, and other subtasks to it, including other manufactured parts for nested assemblies.
- when adding a part to a job that needs to be assembled, it will indicate how many you can assemble based on sub-component stock levels. If subcomponents are dropping below reorder points, it will automatically mark those components as need to order.
- The Bill of materials will be visible on the manufactured part to see the manufactured cost of the product, along with the markup and retail price you want for it.
- MOTOR Integration for Labor Guides, VIN Decoding and Repair manuals
- MOTOR integration is an add on to your subscription since this is a third party Data as a service.
- With the service comes VIN decoding, so scanning a VIN will automatically populate the YMME and other fields on the vehicle page. It also sets the vehicle as MOTOR enabled for the other features included.
- MOTOR Labor guides built into a job. if the vehicle has a VIN or YMME reference, you will have a new MOTOR Service button beside the task and part buttons on a job. clicking it will open up the selector for the service you are wanting. Once you select it, it adds it as a task onto the job with the estimated labor time automatically populated.
- a New tool bar button inside a job will open up the MOTOR repair manuals and any service information for the vehicle. This gives you access torque specs, fluids, wiring diagrams, TSB, etc.
- OEM part number referencing is coming soon as well (and is included in the service).
- MOTOR integration is an add on to your subscription since this is a third party Data as a service.
- Subcontracted Service is now a pricing option for tasks on a job
- This allows you to add the cost of the subcontracted service and set a markup % or price you charge the end customer.
- Assign the subcontracted service to a vendor instead of a tech.
- Employee Service Report Changes
- Major changes to the employee service report, primarily in how it is initially viewed.
- Now defaults to being sorted by day, rather then by task name. - this allows us to give daily totals for the tech on productivity, efficiency, billed hours. etc.
- added customizable columns to the report, so you can customize how its viewed, and it saves to the user so you only need to do it once.
- To-do, internal, and assembly tasks count towards efficiency, but not productivity, and the hours show up as purple.
- tasks that are hourly always count as billable hours and towards productivity
- tasks that are book time or fixed price will display all entries, but only count towards bilalble hours and productivity based on the estimated time for the task on the day it is completed.
- Added a Custom comission column to the column selector. its default turned off, but if you have a specific way of giving comission, we can customize the report as needed.
- Reformatted the print so that the totals werent oriented vertically to save space and make the page more compact.
- fix and book time Tasks where more than one person working on it, we now calculate the % contribution of each tech towards the total and award the billable hours based on their % of the total task time.
- added the total clocked time to the report through the date range selected
- tasks over the estimated show up as red.
- We now consider the quantity for fixed price tasks.

- Job Profitiblity Report Improvements
- changed some of the totals names and formulas- net revenue/hr is now service revenue/hr
- gross revenue/hr is now service gross profit/hr
- Top line "gross profit/hr" now says "total gross profit/hr"
- added tool tips when hovering over values that display the formulas
UI Improvements
- added a filter to the recieved parts list that only shows active jobs and not all jobs.
- Task groups - made it easier to add subtasks to a task on a job directly, without needing to edit the shop task to do it.
- Now have the ability to have subtasks be attached to the parent task directly, and not unique tasks on the job. This makes the display type on the work order view let you group them together with subtotals.
- Job Profitability report now has a seperate section for labor items set as "subcontracted" pricing type.
- Adding parts to a PO was confusing with the + button and the line item search. we now have the add part modal appear when adding a part to a PO just like on a job.
- Print PO and PDFs we added the part number and the description for the parts.
- If you edited a shop part on a job by changing the name, we now prompt you if you want to create a new shop part, or keep using the existing shop part as the reference.
- On the need to order page, we added the part notes display on that table. It is a hoverover tool tip.
- Job Tool Bar - moved all the various functions within a job to the top tool bar, including the "on Site" toggle for jobs that are at the shop. Also added the email icon for contacting customers easier
- Added the authorization and contact customer buttons to the job search result containers.
- Added the hyperlink to the PDF to the customer update emails in addition to the actual attached PDF.
- Added a notes field to the purchase orders
- Changed how appointment reminder updates are viewed, they now appear as "automated" messages and not from the person assigned to the job.
- Added a suggested price below tasks with fixed price as the pricing type. this uses the estimated time multipled by the shop hourly rate to display the suggested price.
- Added a total price for book price tasks on the task modal -so now it will show you what the price for the task will be instead of just estimated hours and hourly rate.
- Added a new user color theme called grey scale, which changes all the colors and buttons to be color-blind friendly.
- Payment exports now show the export account to QB from the invoice history page.
- Turn 14 -if a warehouse is out of stock on an item, the warehouse icon turns red on a PO.
- On the lefthand navigation bar, we added custom folders you can make to group the items how you want.
- Added a shop setting for "include PDF" when contacting customers be by default turned on.
- Added a user setting to always default to the work order view when viewing jobs (helpful for office people)
- Added the clock hours to the dashboard - work completed container beside each employee each day.
- Added a selector for the zone of a job/estimate from the main search results.
- Added the remaining balance icon for active jobs on the jobs pages if there is still an open balance.
- Jobs Page job tickets are customizable, so you can add or remove things on them your shop may or may not need. this includes vehicle color, start and stop dates, title, etc.
- You can now mark shop parts as need to order from the shop part table. - indicated as a "stocking order" on the need to order page.
- Added a section to the task modal called historical data. it will display a graph of all the time entries for the task selected and average times to complete, 1 and 2 sigma deviations, and the estimated time.
Bug Fixes
- Fixed a bug when editing a part, where it would give you the error that "a part with this name already exists"
- Fixed a bug when creating a new shop part from an existing task on an estimate, the new part wasnt getting saved correctly.
- The chat to a group wasnt working properly, which is now fixed.
- Added some fixes to modals where if you clicked away from the modal, it would close it and lose anything you had entered into the modal. now the modals wont close with click away.
- Authorizations werent filtering the "included in price" parts attached to a task.
- Fixed a bug where editing user settings cleared out the avatar for the user.
- fixed a bug where the last job zone card on the column was getting cut off on tablets.
- Fixed a bug when using safari, the native date selector wasnt allowing for time entrys on the scheduling of jobs.
- Fixed a bug where the stop timer confirmation was appearing even if the shop option wasnt turned on.
- fixed a bug on iphones where the chat send button was below the native tool bar and wasnt able to be pressed.
- Fixed a bug with the shops logo saving client side, but not server side.
- fixed a bug where editing a time would revert to 12am and lock so couldnt edit it until refreshing the screen.
- fixed a bug where the move and trash can icons for editing time were appearing outside their container making it hard to press them.
- Fixed a bug when editing departments where the zone selector overlapped the save button.
- There was a bug when trying to delete checklist items from the task modal not actually removing them.
- Xero integration - wasnt carrying the job number or the start date of the job in the export.
- Fixed a bug where deselecting an item in the jobs zone selector wasnt saving.
- Fixed the PO search function where it has stopped searching for the vendor name.
- The chat attached button was overlapping the send button on macs.
- Fixed a bug where the hourly rate for the shop was getting reset when changing other shop settings.
- When copying a task to make a new task, it wasnt copying the sub parts along with it.
- Fixed a bug where the automatically stop timers after closing wasnt stopping the timers if the user closed the browser before closing time - changed the action to be server side.
- fixed an issue where the hours and the job name were to close together making it look like the hours were tens of thousands because they merged together. this was on the left navbar where the users are displayed
- Fixed a bug where the revised authorizations where not showing the request button unless accessed from the red authorization required warning.
- The search results when displaying the expanded view with tasks was not displaying tasks with pricing set as none.
- Fixed a bug with setting fees/discounts where the checkboxes for parts and tasks were both toggling together instead of indepentnly.
- Fixed a bug where using the "add another part" on the add part modal wasnt resetting the quantity value back to 1 each time.
- Added a print task list option inside of jobs.
- fixed a bug where deleting an expense account in the profitability guide wasnt staying deleted.
- Fixed a bug with the DVI scale creator where you could only edit the top scale.
- fixed a bug on ipads where pinch zooming on photos would resize the photo smaller.
- Fixed a bug where the pick list was displaying quantity with to many decimal places if it wasnt a whole number
- Fixed a bug where parts that had a reorder point set, but then had inventory turned off, were still getting flagged as need to order. change to ignore reorder points when inventory tracking is turned back off.
Additional Improvements
- Added a Shop Setting that will prevent jobs from being completed with open balances on them.
- Added a shop setting that will give managers warnings if they manually start timers for techs who are already tracking time on a different task, letting the manager know they already have timers running.
- Added the ability to have Tax Inclusive in the prices of the parts/labor (international users)
- PO exports now have the PO number exporting with them.
- Added the Photos/Files tool bar button to estimates so its easier to add pictures.
- Added the ability to export the accounts recievable report
- Itemized Authorizations - added a "Accept all" so customers dont need to click each one indvidivually.
- Itemized Authorizations - moved the signature box to the bottom so they need to scroll through all of them before signing.
- Itemized Authorizations - now a setting on a per job basis instead of all or none shop setting.
- If a customer doesnt have a phone number to text, we now show a warning in the chat that it will only be visible from their customer login chat.
