4x4 & Off-Road

A full build is a hundred parts from a dozen brands and months on the rack. That's a lot to run on a whiteboard and a text thread.

An off-road build is one of the biggest, most parts-heavy jobs in the industry. A single rig might carry a lift, a regear, armor, wheels and tires, a winch, lighting, and a wiring harness — sourced from a dozen brands and installed over weeks or months. Quoting it, sourcing it, tracking it, and billing it without something slipping through the cracks is the whole job. MSA was built to run builds exactly like that.

Quote a full build without starting from scratch

Off-road builds come in recognizable recipes — a stage lift with matching regear, an armor package, a tow or overland setup. Groups and packages let you bundle the parts and labor for those combos into one package and drop the whole build onto a job in a single click, instead of pricing forty line items by hand every time someone asks what it costs to build their rig. Keep your part pricing private while still showing the customer every part going on the truck, or quote it as one build price — either way it still runs through inventory.

Source parts from every brand at the right cost

Nobody stocks a full off-road catalog, and the margin on a parts-heavy build disappears fast if you're quoting from stale numbers. Turn14 and your other connected suppliers keep live pricing and availability right inside the job, so you quote from today's cost. When the build's confirmed, turn the list into a purchase order in a couple of clicks — or drop-ship the bulky stuff, bumpers, tires, and skids, straight to the shop or the customer.

Run a months-long build without losing the thread

A big build moves through suspension, drivetrain, armor, and electrical — often over weeks, often through more than one tech. Organize each job into folders for the phases of the build so everyone can see what's done and what's next without scrolling one endless list. Document as you go with photos, checklists, and specs on every task — ride height and pinion angle after the lift, re-torque intervals, the alignment once it's back on the ground — so nothing gets skipped and you finish with a full record of the build.

Bill as the build happens, not all at the end

A thirty-thousand-dollar build shouldn't mean floating thirty grand in parts and labor until the keys go back. Progress billing lets you invoice for the parts and hours that actually went into the truck since the last bill, in honest increments — so cash keeps coming in across a long build and the customer never gets hit with one giant number at the end.

Keep the customer in the loop, and close it out clean

Send build updates, photos, and authorization requests by text or email so the customer can green-light that extra set of rock sliders without a round of phone tag. When the rig's done, take payment in person or with a text-to-pay link, then export the finished invoice to QuickBooks so your books stay straight.

MSA didn't add a 4x4 mode. Package-based quoting, deep parts sourcing, phased build tracking, and progress billing are here because building rigs is a long, complex, parts-heavy business — and the people who built MSA have lived it.
