using Zones, Departments, and the QR code reader for Kanban

In this video, we cover how the Jobs page works—starting with zones, how to organize them, and how to move jobs between them. We then show how departments help shops that handle multiple types of work, like engine rebuilding and service, track everything more closely. Finally, we demo the QR code reader and how it can power Kanban boards for specialized workflows like turbo rebuilding or e-commerce fulfillment.

Details

In this video we go over how the jobs page works.  Specifically we look at how the zones work, how to organize them, and how to create and remove them.    From there we show how to move jobs around the different zones you have created.

With the zones understood, we expand into building and using departments to further organize how your operation works.  Departments can be very handy for shops that do a combination of things, such as engine rebuilding and service work on cars.   breaking out the work into different departments help you more closely track the state of the work.   Last, we demonstrate the QR code reader and how it interacts with the zones and the departments, and how you can use it to make Kanban boards for things like turbo rebuilding, engine rebuilding, transmission rebuilding, and even E-commerce order fulfillment.

Thanks, and be sure to check all the other features we have built into our shop management system.
